Will a 5mhz probe doppler be able to pick up fetal heart tones at 10 weeks? If not, whats the earliest?

A friend of mine gave me a 5mhz Nicolet Imex doppler today. I looked it up and it says its used for vascular detection purposes…but it should be able to pick up fetal heart tones right?

nope heart tones can be heard at 14 weeks and its used for vascular dectection not a heartbeat two totally diffrent things
no. most dopplers will not pick up a heart beat till around 12 weeks some even later!!! good luck!!
