When can i hear my babys heart beat really good 17 weeks pregnant?

I have a fetal doppler, i herd it once, for about 2 seconds,and yes it was the babys because it was really fast.
i herd that fetal dopplers u cant hear the heart beat till 20 weeks, and i herd it can be 14 weeks. but its for babys R us, and wal-mart dopplers not medical ones.
also where is a good place to hear the heart beat?
like where on my stomic.

Well I have one that is just like they use at the doctors office, I find my baby’s heartbeat in the between my belly button and hair line. If it’s cheap one it will probably be a lot harder to find. I have been using my doppler since 12 weeks. You cant use a stethoscope before around 20 weeks.
I had that doppler, but didn’t have luck. Did not find anything. Try 2 inches below your belly button to the left.
Well i have the CRAPPIEST doppler you can get.. it was only like 10 bucks and its just a big microphone pretty much but i could hear the baby at about 19 weeks. Also im really skinny so, but its really hard to find the heartbeat. You pretty much have to just move it around slowly constantly.
I heard mine at the doctors at 16 weeks and it was so clear, made me cry. She fely mu uterus by my belly button and then went slightly and down and to the side. but obviously babys move so anywhere from your pelvis bone to your belly button. But dont panic if you cant find it
