120-180 is ideal. It will fluctuate. If you drink something cold before usually the HR picks up. I'm not familiar with your doppler, but if it is a cheaper one, you may not always be able to pick up the HR, especially this early. It may cause you to panic. My nurse at the dr office told me at 10w4d that she may not beable to find it (she did) and that that was common. So don't get to upset if you can't find it all the time. Good luck.

You wont be able to hear a heartbeat until about 13-15 weeks. Doctors dont even try to hear a heartbeat until then. Your baby is so small right now that it is pretty much impossible to hear a heartbeat.

You can begin to monitor your baby’s heartbeat anytime after the 10th week of pregnancy. However, it may be difficult for you to hear the beat before the 12th week.
I think that you could be picking up your own heartbeat.

What you have to be careful with of those is getting your heart set on hearing the heartbeat and not being able to find it. It is very common to not hear it yet with those so don't worry and get really stressed if you can't find a heartbeat. That being said, how exciting that you can try and hear it at any time! The average heartbeat is 120-160 bpm. With the baby being so small and hard to detect the heartbeat this early, I would say getting a reading of 127 is pretty good. You only need a little gel on the part that touches your belly, not a ton. You'll have to play around with positions as you try to use it sometimes laying down will help, other times you won't find it laying down. Have fun!
