this has happened about 4 times we listen about twice a day, it will be a normal 150/160 bpm then it will slow down slower than mine, then speed up to normal again, has anyone experienced this? im 22 weeks with my 2nd baby, and feel movements everyday
this decrease only lasts 5 - 10 seconds

That is normal. I was at the hospital and hooked up to a monitor and the heartbeat would go from 120-160 in seconds! It scared me so I asked about it, they said a good rise or decline like that is a good sign - it means the baby is moving around and when he is the rate is faster, when resting it is slower. It is a sign of a healthy baby!
If you are SURE that you hear the babies heat rate drop to lower than your own, that can’t be good. Call a doctor.
no i haven’t and i don’t know anyone who has. it could just be your baby trying to get away from the doppler, you know they don’t like those? but i would deff. talk to my doc about it ASAP, but im a worrier.
I have no idea. I think you should phone your doctor and ask if it is normal.
hey hun,
If the babies heart beat ranges in those higher numbers, thats really good.
They babies heartbeat should stay in that range and not go below 120 bpm. because that is low..
Babies do have their up and down days but feeling movements every day is really good ;).
Contact you doctor if you are sure.. The heart beat of the baby should be always approx double yours..
Also when using the doppler. You may have picked up your own heartbeat. It can happen sometimes.
god Bless xx
