To anyone who has used a fetal heart doppler?

Do they work??
If you used one and it worked
-how far along were you
-what brand
-how much was it
-where’d you get it from
just any information, im really thinking into getting one, and just need some information on them.

The ones I was looking at renting are medical grade. 2 or 3 megahertz. All the websites say they can pick up heart beats from 8-10 weeks but it is recommended not to try until after 12 weeks.
The ones the other people are talking about are the kind you can buy at walmart or babysrus and they won’t work until your third trimester. Waste of money.

i used one , cant remebr the brand it was like bebesounds or something. I was 20 weeks plus, it was 50 dollars ( it came with some other things) guess what IT DID NOT WORK !
You need to get an expensive one for it to work. I bought one from the store in town, it didn’t work at all!! Don’t waste the money. Honestly, once you feel baby move you always can tell if they are okay without needing to hear the heartbeat. I know it is more comforting to hear it but really, unless you want to spend a ton of money, most of the cheap ones are just a disappointment.
hello. I hired a fetal doppler. I am currently 12 weeks along but have been using it and hearing the baby’s heart clearly since I was 10 weeks along. The brand is First beats, I paid $39 to hire it for one month plus a $24 delivery fee, they included a satchel for me to post it back free. The website was http://www.firstbeats.com. it is great reassurance knowing the baby is going ok in there between ultrasounds. They are approved for safe use twice a day, but you may want to double check this with the particular brand you choose. Good luck and congrats!
This is a medical grade doppler.
I bought one for 20 dollars at Wal*Mart when i was like 2 months pregnant. I opened it and it said it wouldnt work until i was 5 mths preg. ( yeah it said it inside of the box not the outside of it ) Well i tried it anyways hopefull ( about once every two to three weeks) That it would work and i could listen to the heart whenever i wanted to. But it dint and even now at 6 mths it still doesnt work. I forgot what name it was ( BRAND) but its nothing like the one the doctors use. Just dont get the one from wall mart It really sucks.

I rented from babybeats.com for $25/ month. it iw well worth it for my piece of mind after miscarriages. we got his heartbeat on it at 9.3 weeks! pretty early…we have gotten it everyday since then.
