do you know that using that once every two or 3 weeks is okay but more than that is not good. I was reading an article and it says that those radar waves it sends through your belly sound to the baby just like it would if a helicopter is over your house? That is why babies flinch on ultrasound and doppler….I dont know about you, But I will only do that to him once a month at appointment.

Motherhood-Maternity or any other maternity store should sell products that will enable you to hear the heartbeat.

Search for it online. I saw a lot at Motherhood Maternity and they were reasonably priced… I want to hear my baby’s heartbeat daily too!

I forgot to include this in one of my other answers about heartbeats.
My Husband had a computer microphone, and if we pressed it in the right spot, we could hear and record the heartbeat. It was one of those long tall ones.
I have a recording of my sons heart pounding on my computer… he’s 7 years old now.
Once you’re far enough along, it will work.
I’m not sure if you are from the U.K or not but mother care do them for £29.99. Unable to use it untill you are 17 weeks, won’t pick up the heartbeat untill then as they are nt as Strong as the ones the doctors use.
You can get one at Wal-Mart in the baby section. It says that you can hear the babies heartbeat at 10 weeks but for me it took a little longer.
i brought mine off the internet on ebay i have a hi bebe foetal doppler and was able to hear heart beat from 8 weeks onwards its been really comforting but don’t use it everyday!

I got one at walmart but it’s obviously not as good as the one’s the dr. has so I haven’t been able to hear the heartbeat yet. The instructions say that the best time to hear it is about 20 weeks with one of the home dopplers.
