Question about fetal sounds heard on doppler?
I rented a doppler from www.heartones.com a few weeks ago and it has really eased my mind to hear my baby’s heart beating away. But it’s really weird … I can hear a swooshing sound kind of at a steady beat, and then I can hear the baby’s heart beat which is a much faster beat. What is that swooshing beat? Sometimes it is steady and then it may slow down for a second or two and speed back up.
I am 15 weeks and 3 days.

That swooshing sound is the blood flowing through the placenta. I am 11 weeks 5 days and my doctor used a doppler on me today and that is what she explained to me.
Congratulations, it’s an exciting experience.
the swooshing is most likely the sound of blood flowing though to the placenta.
The swooshing noise is most likely fluid’s and/or some movement, or that’s what my doctor told me when i used one
The swooshing sound is your placenta, my last midwife appointment we listened to the baby’s heartbeat and she told me then.
