They do work but not as well as the ones the doctors use, so you can’t always pick up the heartbeat, (depending on how the babies laying) so it can cause unnecessary panic and worry, and trips to the ER. So, just remember that even if you don’t pick up a heartbeat, its no reason to get hysterical or anything, wait a few hours and see if you feel the baby move, if you count movements, do that, lets see, its 10 ‘movements’ in 2 hours during the babies most active time, so if you don’t feel that, then you should worry and call your doctor.
I’ve herd that they aren’t’ very good, and if you aren’t’ trained in finding the heart beat then its harder to use. Some ladies have said once you are around 20weeks then its easier to use.
I thought about getting one but my doctor said not to waist the money unless I waited to about 25 weeks! Then she also said that many women have problems telling their heart beat from baby’s. I decided to leave it to the professionals and spend the money on other things the baby needs! Good luck!
I have one and it works fantastic, got it off ebay for about $100. I think it depends on how sensitive they are to how well they pick up the heart beat, but i heard mine from about 14 weeks and im now 35 weeks and it picks up immeadiatly!!

No idea of that product so use it and share the good news.
