plz help. fetal heart rate question @ 33 weeks pregnant?
hi, i had a nonstress test at my docs today and the babies heartrate held around the low 120’s but was constantly in the teens and even tens. so they sent me to the hostpital. same thing there. but with movement he got up to the 130’s for a sec. i know the average heart rate is 120-170 or 110-170. well i am terrified. i feel like my bubba has his cord wraped arounnd him or somehing. im so scared. the docs seemed puzzled but not overly concerned so i was sent home like nothing happened. WELL I AM CONCERNED! ive read about to many bad endings and i dont wanna be one of them. i have a doppler and his heart has been doing this for about 2 weeks. his usual is like 135. im just freaking out. plz help. i dunno what to do or think.
i had a quick ultrasound for fluid levels. they were just ok nothin great but within the normal limits apparently.
plz keep answering ill continue to check.

Some babies change baseline rates. Normal is definitely between 110-160 according to all the professional organizations dealing with pregnancy care.
The most important indicators of fetal well being are variability and accelerations of the heart rate, not the actual rate itself as long as it’s in the realm of normal range.
If your doctors were concerned they would have kept you longer or performed a biophysical profile via ultrasound. A cord wrapped around baby wouldn’t do what you’re describing - many babies are born with a cord wrapped loosely around their body or neck - sometimes twice around!
Did they send you for an ultrasound to check this out??? If not, I would recommend that you request one. This way, it will give you and the doctor piece of mind that everything is okay. Don’t read too much of those bad endings. You are just going to freak yourself out. Just get an ultrasound. I’m sure everything is fine.
If you are really concerned, I think you should go back to the dr and demand an ultrasound to make sure that everything is okay.
I hope everything’s okay and good luck
