usually around that time you would be gettin a scan just to check the baby to make sure everything is growing right, the heartbeat is strong and everything is in the right place. i dont know that all the techincal terms are but i have been pregnant 3 times and have had multiple scans this pregnancy...i know that they can either use the device that goes in your vagina if you are very early or they cant see very well, or they just scan your belly and pelvis.the follow-up for growth comes at about 26-28 weeks so they can check for all the organs and body parts and see how big the baby is and if its growing properly. level II and level III ultrasounds are only needed if there is a problem such a low weight gain, diabetes, high blood pressure, or low amniotic fluid.
