No fetal pole and no heart beat what's going on?
My last menstrual period was 10/10/07, I went to the doctor today and I went to get an ultra sound but the doctor said he only saw the sack but he didn’t see no fetal pole. He made an appointment with another ultrasound specialist to get a second opinion. My second opinion is next week and I’m really nervous. I’m scared and I don’t know what’s going on. They check for the heart beat with a Doppler and their is no heart beat. But the thing is that I don’t have symptoms of miscarriage. My hcg level are still there and my breast was in pain. I was wondering if any body can help with any information and ease my mind. I am in totally depress mode.

hmmm….well that would make you about 14 15 weeks along right. They should be able to see soemthing in the sac by then. But if your hcg levels are still rising it could be a blighted ovem, or possibly a phantom or chemical pregnancy. Only your doctor can know for sure. My fingers are crossed that it turns out good though. Best of luck
I have heard that with a doppler you really can’t hear a heartbeat until your 12th week… I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!!
