My Yorkie and Heart monitor?
Can a prenatal fetal heart monitor doppler be used on my yorkie. Is it safe for her? I have been told that it is but just want to make sure. I also was told its good to use so that you can tell if the puppies are in stress so that you can contact the vet or ER vet faster if needed.
Yeah my yorkie is aprx. 10 lbs she is a big girl LOL. I didnt breed her for money i dont believe in that. She is going to be spayed once she has her litter and of course after the puppies are weened. The puppies are going to be going to good homes which are my family members and im keeping one as well. Yeah I take her to the vets for her normal check ups and i feed her what is recommended. I also have all numbers of the vet as well as the ER vet clinic on hand for the whelping in case anything should go wrong. I was told that the monitor could help notice if the puppies are in stress. I am going to the vet on the 17th and will be shown by the vet how to use it. I just want to make sure that this wont hurt my little girl as well as the puppies. Thanks!

gosh if that is cause you are having pups i would take the dog towards when they are due ad let them do it its hard to do but can be done. it is the idea of getting milk to incase one is so small. you could lose it but i know if you let them breed as much as they want there should be no trouble at having them you could have 5 or 6 depending on how large she is but its then if they are small you have ot help the pups to live. its 2 hours feeding till they are older. take care.
