how’s it working for you?? Is it finding your baby’s heartbeat okay and giving accurate readings? I honestly wouldn’t worry about stuff like that for this doppler. I guess it just means its intended to be used in another country? I think its okay…
I’d use it also as long as it works……
Some people say that you shouldn’t use any doppler. I would just take it into your midwife maybe or try to return it and get another. You aren’t suppose to use it all day every day but I think once a day is fine. i used mine once or twice a day until my boy started moving.
why are you using it to begin with. and thats what happens when you go on e-bay you get scammed unless its a very reliable resource!!!
The mHz is the reason its not fda approved. I would not use it just because it can cause fetal problems, its a high frequency.
It’s not the frequency; there are plenty of 2.5mHz dopplers (and 2, and 3mHz) that are approved. Most likely this company just didn’t bother with the paperwork/expense to go through the procedure to get the FDA stamp.
Personally, I would feel fine about it. It’s a fetal doppler like most others. There’s a decent chance that it was made in the same factory as other brand name, approved devices. There’s nothing magical about FDA approval (unfortunately). Use the doppler correctly (i.e., briefly), even on a regular basis, and you will be just fine.
