This product is brilliant.
At 14 weeks into my pregnancy, this doppler enables me to hear my baby's heartbeat from the comfort of my own home and gives a huge sense of peace of mind and relief after previous pregnancy problems.
I managed to find my baby's heartbeat straight away and was able to record it on my laptop with ease using the cable provided. You can then share that awesome sound with friends and family, who may not normally get the chance to experience it.
Totally recommend this product to any expectant parents and those with other child so they can be a part of the magic too.
After a bad pregnancy last year and a complicated one this year, my wife and I decided to purchase this to reassure ourselves during moments of paranoia.
It maybe wasn't the best decision at 13 weeks as it failed to pick up the baby's heartbeat, but at 14 weeks it managed it did (just) and now at 15 weeks+ it is very easy to find. Though the box specifies it can be used from 10 weeks, I wasn't disappointed that at 12 weeks we found nothing - after all, the dopplers used by the midwives are far more sophisticated and can struggle at 12 weeks.
So now, entering our 4th month of pregnancy, we enjoy the nightly ritual of listening to baby, the sound is impressively clear and there are two headphone ports so you can both listen in at the same time - or use the cable to plug the headphone socket to your microphone socket on your PC/stereo/any audio recording device with a standard microphone input, and record the sound to keep forever.
In a nutshell: This might cause more panic than it does reassurance during the earlier stages of pregnancy as the box is perhaps a tad too optimistic when it claims effectiveness from "10-12 weeks", but once baby is slightly higher up then this device can easily find the heartbeat. It's incredibly easy to use, just apply the gel, turn it on, pop it on the bump (though it might not be much of a bump at 12 weeks or so!) and listen in through the headphones. You can hear lots of `whoops' as baby moves around and when you do get the heartbeat it is very clear.

after reading reviews about the "summer" doppler and being a bit disheartened i searched for another and found the "angelsounds" doppler. I ordered this yesterday @2pm and received it today at 10am! i actually gomine from ebay- it had battery, gel and doppler and including postage it was £27 ish. i am 18 weeks and wanted this so my hubby could hear the baby if he couldnt make my midwife appointments. i could hear the baby straight away very very clearly and it is just magical! totally worth every penny!
