No idea about the doppler. We bought a sumner one and to be fair it is rubbish so i hired one from hi baby and it’s the same as the midwives use!!! It is great and ben very reassuring!!!

I had the summer one which was smiliar to the one ur looking at. It never picked up babys heartbeat but I could hear the baby moving around inside me which was cool.

I got one of the ones with a seperate probe in the end and it worked fantastically! Can’t help u with the ASOS I’m afraid x

im not sure about the second part of your question…

but the doppler is actually a higher frequency ultasound than a visual ultrasound, however it is used for less time.

i allowed my midwives to use the doppler about three times before the heartbeat was confirmed and to confirm it…

after that we have not used it at all and have opted to use the fetal stethoscope instead.

we will be using the doppler during the birth

Those dopplers are rubbish, they don’t always pick up the heartbeat and can be more worry some than what they should be.

Try this website, http://www.mumsnbumps.co.uk/department/foetal_dopplers/ those dopplers are the same as the midwifes/docs use, not the bottom one, that’s the same as your one and is rubbish.

You can even rent them too if you’re not keen on paying such a high price for one.

I’m not sure about that one, but it looks like the one they sell in stores and it sucks.
