Is it normal to just feel irregular fetal movements at exactly 17 weeks?
I’m not even sure if they are movements even if this is my 3rd pregnancy. I was really traumatized by my 2nd pregnancy where I lost my baby at 32 weeks due to trisomy 13. It is just so scary. But yeah, I don’t really feel much maybe because I keep waiting to feel it? Maybe, I don’t know. We listened to the heartbeat from our home fetal doppler and found it after 5 mins. That eased my worries a little, but even so, I haven’t had my u/s yet and won’t have it until nov. 27 which is in two weeks! I do have my regular appointment next week though…. please advice. and only serious answers please. nothing smart as*.

Yeah quite normal dont worry, maybe ur placenta is at the front, also the baby is only teeny tiny at the moment and so the movements arent so strong.
I was the same when i was at that stage in pregnancy, well maybe a week or so later, when i was 19 weeks i phoned the hospital n told em i not felt any movements in a while an they told me to go in, they listened to HB an everything was fine.
If u can hear the heart beat on ur monitor, dont worry an if u still worry ring the midwife, they will be able to put ur mind at rest…. but dont worry its not good for baby…. also eat lots of chocolate… that is really good for making a happy baby! It worked for me an i dont normally even like chocolate but now im gonna eat it in every pregnancy i have coz im sure thats why my baby is so good lol x
Oh yeah also drink pommegranite juice once a day, increases blood suply from u to baby so is defo good
…. sorry i know i just babbled on about crap u didnt ask about there, but ahhhhhhhh i couldnt help myself! ha ha!
Good luck! (and im sure everything is just fine so dont worry)
xx
you wont feel a pattern in moves for quite a while yet, so yes what your feeling is normal!

Yes!
This is very normal. I had a day at 23 weeks where my son didn’t move as much as other days and I went in and they said not to worry about movement really till 28 weeks when you start to do kick counts.
Yes, what you are feeling is normal.
First off, I would like to tell you how sorry I am for what you experienced with your second. xoxo. I really didn’t feel too much until I was about 20 weeks. At 17 weeks, I also was trying to feel it. I couldn’t tell the difference between fetal movement and gas bubbles, lol. At your next doctor appt, they will most likely listen to heartbeat as well. If you heard the heartbeat, your baby is alive and probably just cant feel the movements yet. Try not to stress, as your baby may be able to feel your stress. The movement will def. get stronger!! Good luck!
Yes, it’s very normal. You probably won’t notice your baby’s active and resting patterns for many more weeks.
It is recommended that you begin doing "kick counts" at 28 weeks. Kick counting is where you pick a certain time of day (it’s best to do them the same time each day) and count the amount of time it takes for you to feel 10 fetal movements. My OB said I should feel 10 within one hour (I usually felt them in much much less time)
