Doubtful, not usually till about 10-12 weeks. It would be detectable on an ultrasound though.

No, the earliest you can really distinguish the heart beat with an amplified doppler is at 12 weeks. Even then it may not be guaranteed. For those with "extra padding" it can take a little longer to hear the baby clearly since the doppler is placed right over the pubic bone where most people carry and extra layer of fat (foopa). If you're using a generic store bought doppler you wont really be able to hear anything until about 16-18 weeks.

If you really want to hear the heartbeat this early a trans-vaginal ultrasound will pick it up loud and clear

sure can, i heard my baby's heart beat at 7 weeks. Maybe it does have something to do with your body type if you're small and don't have much fat around your belly you can hear it, if you're a little bigger then maybe a few weeks later.

It can be but don't be alarmed if they don't detect it. I was 17 or 18 weeks before the doctor was able to detect the heartbeat with the doppler instrument. I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks to confirm there was a heartbeat.
