I recently bought a fetal doppler for home use and I was wondering if 140 bpm a good fetal heart rate and does anyone have a guess as to if it’s a boy or girl?

Yes its perfectly fine
yes anything between 100 and 160 bpm is good! and your guess for gender is as good as mine.
it sounds normal..determining gender with heart rate is only a myth..but im gonna say girl..
its perfect. My ds was always between 140 and 150 and he came out perfectly healthy.
My baby’s heartbeat was 145 bpm at my 7 week ultrasound. Her heart beat is still around there. It’s usually between 140 and 150. Your odds of having a boy or girl are really 50/50, they say that a heart beat below 140 is generally a boy and above 140 is a girl but it’s not accurate or anything like that. Some people have boys with heart beats higher than 140 just like some people have girls with heart beats below 140. You won’t be able to find out for sure until your ultrasound at like 16-20 weeks. (:
