mine never worked right, I can hear my stomach growl but that is it.. and I’ve had it since I was like 6 weeks along
it might be the noise of the baby moving around, to be honest i bought one as well and used it once, they cause more harm than good coz you start gettin really paranoid if you cant find the heartbeat and it causes unneccesary stress.
congrats on the baby xx
The washing machine sound is the fluid in your uterus. It’s not your baby. Dopplers from department stores aren’t as sensitive as the doppler the doctor uses and don’t pick up heartbeats until 5 or 6 months pregnant.
dont worry if you cant hear the heart beat as there not very reliable and cause a lot of pple to panic when they cant detect anything.
that sound is likely to be the blood flow through the cord you ar ehearing not the babies heart beat! you need to know what your hearing for with those or you’ll think something else is your baby! have you heard the heart beat before? if not i suggest waiting until you do so you kow what your looking/hearing for!!!

i dont think thats the baby
I like to think of it as a helicopter taking off, it’s really fast!!! Congrats I’m 15 weeks and I’ve been listening to my baby every day since 13 weeks.
No the washing machine sounds are more likely to be your pulse or the placenta. The baby’s heart will be more like a horse galloping. It’s fast and should be louder than the washing machine sounds.
the washing machine type sound is all the fluid rushing around, i honestly wouldnt use it, i hired one of ebay when i was 16 weeks, got totally addicted to and was using it 2-3 times a day, i wish i hadent of got it, made me way too paranoid
congrats on bubs x
You’d definatly know if it was your babys heart beat. When they try to find mine at the doctors/hospital while there trying to pick it up it always reminds me of a washing machine or tumble dryer! But when they find it you definatly know its a heartbeat. Be careful though you shouldn’t rely on them if you think theres something wrong! And it can also pick up your heartbeat too.
