How soon can you hear your babys heartbeat with a fetal doppler?
I go to my next dr. apt. on Thursday… Ill be 10 weeks 1 day pregnant…will they be able to hear the babys heart beat this soon? I already had a vaginal ultrasound done at 7 weeks 2 days and got to see and hear the babys heartbeat then, but now im wondering if ill be able to hear the heartbeat at every appointment with a fetal doppler???? this is my first baby, so im new to this stuff!! thanks ladies!

Normally you can’t hear the baby’s heartbeat with the fetal doppler until approximately 12 weeks. However, there are always exceptions and sometimes you can hear it before, or may not hear it until slightly later.
I heard my daughter with the doppler at exactly 12 weeks.
Good Luck and your appointment!
At my first OB appt I was 8 weeks and they didn’t even try with the Doppler they said you wouldn’t be able to hear it. At my 12 week appointment I was able to hear it loud & clear…so you might be able to hear it on Thursday!
I heard mine clearly at 10 weeks. Right when she put the doppler on my tummy we heard it…my friend was able to hear it at 8 weeks.
I heard her heartbeat at 13 weeks.
I was able to hear my twins at 6 weeks. Not sure if they used the doppler or what. It was the same machine as my ultrasound machine. I had to hold my breath though and it was hard trying to find them.
Yes…at about 10 weeks you can hear the heart beat! But right now your baby is still tiny so it probably wont be a very strong heart beat!!!
But Congrats…Im due on Aug. 5th with my first too! =] lol!
i hired one when i was 9 1/2 weeks but didnt hear the heartbeat until i was 11 weeks. Now im 12 weeks and baby is very active so i only hear it for a few seconds and then it moves away
I have four kids and I heard all of them but one at my 8 week appointment with the fetal doppler in the Dr’s office. It depends on the size of the Mother, position of the baby and how far along you are. If you can’t hear it, they will just check it at your next appointment. 10 weeks is right in the middle. You might, you might not.
You can’t usually hear the heart beat till 12 weeks. The midwife doesn’t usually listen to the heart beat with the doppler till around 15 weeks.
