I rent mine from belly beats. I didn't want to spend the money for a monthly rental of $45 but I am having a high risk pregnancy and when I need to know what is going on it is great to tell me that the baby is doing okay. It worked at 8 weeks which was great. I was always checking than but now I am 20 weeks and I don't really use it that much. Just when something seems wrong.

I got one but it didn't work until I was 32 weeks it was the biggest waste of money ever because by then I could feel the baby really moving.. Your heart rate is naturally elevated during pregnancy because it's pumping 50% more blood. Mine stay around 104 and it's normal according to my doctor.

Pregnant women often have slightly elevated heart rates.
I bought a 17 dollar dopplar from Walmart and was able to hear the heart beat starting at 21 weeks. I loved it. I often would fall asleep listening to the baby. :)

I bought a doppler , and to me it was worth every cent hearing my bub in there (although it did cause a lot of stress and panic when we couldn't find the heartbeat).

I loved using it.

Yes, it is normal for a womens heart beat to be elevated.
