Ive always wondered if you bought a fetal heart Doppler how do you know that your not listening to your own heartbeat rather than your baby’s? Is the baby’s heart rate faster or slower? (Random Question)

The babys heartbeat is a lot faster. You should also hear the sound of the womb.
The babies heartbeat is going to be much faster than yours will be. But I have bought 2 doppler’s from the store one that cost over $100 and even at 40 weeks pregnant I couldn’t get the darn thing to work right. Store bought are just not the same as at the ob.
baby’s heartbeat is about twice as fast as yours. Ask your midwife to show you how to use it properly. They can be a bit tricky to use, especially if you haven’t been trained.
