11 weeks is still really early to hear the heartbeat on your own with that doppler. sometimes even at the doctor, they will pick up YOUR heart beat (which is the lower ones) instead of the babies. i say wait a few weeks and try again. your baby is also moving around like crazy right now, you just won't be able to feel it yet because the fetus is so little and there is a lot of room. so it is hard to follow it and pick it up.

just wait a few weeks and see if it works, when you go to the doctor again ask what the beats per minute is, then see if you can find one around that. my lil ones had beats around 140-150.

good luck and congrats!!

im not too sure what it could be,

there are many reasons,

the first might be just faulty equipment (simple i know)
or, like the polar heart rate monitors (in the gym) there is mix messages sent when a client is wearing a wire bra, the metal messes the signal up.

or the equipment is cold

or you've not set things up right

i know theres more to it than a simple heart rate monitor, but it still works by messages being sent right

if i was you id go to your local gp, with the equipment and ask them to take you throw the process, you never know you might be overlooking something.

good luck with the baby, hope everything goes well for you.
