Heavy bill of 22 week sonography?

We had the 22 sonography done some time back, Now, we got a huge bill from the sonography associates. its mentioned 1) OB Sono, Detail Fetal/Maternal EV
2) OB, Transvaginal
3) Doppler study
Are these all compulsary ( even when mother doesn’t have any disease like diabeties etc..)
Or is there any thing for which we can fight against this heavy bill?

The people who performed the service deserve to be paid for their work. You might try calling them and asking about a payment plan, or a reduction of the bill.
Would you volunteer not to be paid for YOUR work one or two days a month? Why do people expect that doctors don’t need to be paid? Those who work for us, who rent us office space, who sell us insurance, supplies, & drugs expect to be paid.
The time to ask about this was BEFORE you had the ultrasound. They should have been able to tell you how much it would cost, and whether you insurance would cover it or not.
