hearing the fetal Heartbeat?
Today I was screwing around at work (labor and delivery unit) with the doppler monitor and was trying to find the heartbeat (15 weeks along) and couldn’t find it. I’m no professional, and I’ve heard the heartbeat three times before at the doctor.
Should I worry, or is it just my skill? I only tried for about ten minutes, and it wasn’t a "fetal heartbeat doppler".
I don’t think I should worry because I wasn’t really positioned right. I don’t know, any advice?
Thanks.

Don’t worry at all. Not all dopplers are as sensitive as the one at your doctor’s office. The people who find the heartbeat have training in locating the fetus. SO yes don’t worry at all hun
the labor monitors dont realy pick up early heart beats, they are most easiest heard after 20 weeks
you probably wasn’t even putting the doppler in the right spot
sometimes the baby is just laying in a way that you just cant hear the heart beat. I have a heart beat thing for at home and this has happened to me many times.
Wait a little longer. Its tough to nail it that early.
