Has anyone used a fetal doppler ?

im 10 weeks on friday and ive just rented a fetal doppler has ayone used one and when did u get the heart beat ?
Arg thanks everyone all great answers ! i hired it from hi baby website ! i think i will wait till friday when im 10 weeks ! i have my first appointment next friday so will ask how to use it then x

I rented one when I was around 15 weeks or so. The best 50 bucks that I ever spent. I got it as a fathers day gift for my husband. Ours had a recording feature so we have my sons heart beat on our computer. It also picked up the sounds of the placenta. It was amazing.
Usually you can’t hear the heart beat till about 12 weeks or so. So don’t freak out if you can’t find it. You might get lucky though and it will pick it up. Good Luck and have fun with it.
Heartbeats usually get picked up around 12 weeks, but that is with a dr doing it, so if you don’t get one till a little further, don’t worry!
i was gonna buy one and i asked on here and some ppl on here told u couldn’t hear the baby’s heartbeat with one if them until the third trimester.
I was 13 weeks before i heard baby heartbeat. If you listen in the centre of your tummy really low down on your hair line, that is where you will hear baby. Congrats
I used one with both pregnancies. With my first I heard it at 10 weeks. With the second, at 9w1d. Use lots of gel, take your time and listen very low. It’s easier when you are laying flat and have a full bladder, in my opinion. Don’t stress if you can’t find it right off. It’s early and baby can be hiding anywhere!
yeah, ive used one that i went and bought.. it didnt work.. but i can hear her squriming around and kicking it lol..it actualyl started working like a week ago for me:) im almost 26 weeks now:)
I am gonna be 10 weeks on friday, too. Congrats. my cousin used to have this device that had headphones and it worked for her, but that was like 15 years ago. I don’t remember the name of it. Where did you rent it?
yes i’ve got one called angel sounds, started using it from 16 weeks
yeah i rented one off the net and its brilliant.i picked h/b up around 15wks.
my sister rented one to and she found a heartbeat at 9-10wks.
just plcae it around the bottom of your belly and you should be able to hear it.give it a try

i heard my babies heartbeat from 14wks with my doppler but like an idiot i was using it wrong haha, i found it eventually! its sooo exciting!
i got one but didn’t use until 20 weeks… don’t think you would be able to here at that stage even on midwifes one . good luck xx
