If so, did you have to confirm anything with the seller about FDA regulations?
Its a professional one like at the doctor’s office. I bought the Bebe Sounds thing and it is crap! I hope no one else wastes their money on it.

I purchased a fetoscope on ebay, which is low tech instead. It is pretty crappy, but you need to be careful with a home doppler — doppler is loud and disruptive for the baby and who knows what the effects of over use are. There are reasons for the regulations. Do you need it? If not, I’d stick with low tech. Better safe than sorry.
No, I’ve never purchased one .. BUT no matter where you purchase it .. make sure it’s not a cheap one .. make sure it’s hi-tech .. otherwise it’s going to be a hit and miss on picking up your babys heartbeat and that will stress you out! That’s why I didn’t get one .. because I knew if for some reason it didn’t pick my baby’s heartbeat up EVERY time .. I’d be freaking out and in the ER having him hooked up to a professional monitor .. it would have caused me more stress in the long run.
I’ve heard you can rent them .. those ones seem to be very reliable.
good luck! God bless!
M & M seems to cover the topic good, I like her " rental " approach. That way if you do not like it you are not stuck with it. You could also rent one and if you like it go on and purchase one like it. Or write down the name of the one the Doctor uses, although that one is probably very pricey. I did some searches on the net and they are for sale at all different prices. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE ONE OF THESE " used " ONLINE. You may get stuck with something broken, worn out, without instructions and not able to get your money back. May your baby be a happy and healthy one.
