My husband and I are thinking of renting a fetal doppler to hear the babies heartbeat in between appts, has anyone ever used one? What are your thoughts on it?

i bought one from wal-mart it doesnt work. i wasted my money. dont waste yours too.
i would have liked to. as long as you make sure its a very good quality one, it should work just like the ones they use at your appointments!
I did. I spent a lot on mine though. good quality matters. It was amazing for me. I tend to worry A LOT so it was nice for me to hear his heart beat every time I was worried.
I would recommend it for sure.
I stopped using mine once I could feel him kicking all the time though, I let a friend borrow it until my next baby.
i have used one, my friend had bought it for her pregnancy, and then she let me use it, they are lots of fun. the only ones i have seen can’t usually pick up the baby’s heart beat until after the 7th month, but there may be more out there im not sure
The doctors do mine without even asking me, lol. They just tell me what their about to do and i’m like. "Yeah, yeah, go for it."
When I heard my babies heartbeat for the first time, I couldn’t believe at how wonderful it sounded. It was like a sub woofer, but hard to put in words, it was cute. It sounded like a bass machine.
But be careful because you can hear your own heart beat (which is weird too) Doctor told me this and showed me the difference between my heart beat and bubs.
anyway they are good.
but seeing them is better.
I would not buy one from wal-mart target , babies r us or a store like that. I would rent one because the rental ones are similar to what the doctors use at your in office check up , they may seem a little pricey but trust me it will give you a peace knowing your baby is ok . I always feel like hearing my babies heart beat is so reassuring. try these sites http://www.babybeat.com/ http://www.babyfm.com http://www.bellybeats.com/
