Fetal/heart doppler detection?

My question is, can the fetal/heart beat doppler that doctors use in their clinics detect your own personal heartbeat when looking for baby’s heartbeat? Because I am kind of worried that it was my heart beat that the doctor found, not the baby’s, only because it took her a few minutes to actually find the heart beat. It scared the crap outa me! Anyhow, any input would be awesome, i’m 14 w/2days.

I very much doubt it, i mean if she was a nurse/doctor or better yet your midwife then i’m guessing, sorry i’m hoping she knew the difference between your heart beat and the babys! also your babys heart beat would of been WAY faster than yours (unless you were having a mini panic attack). I wouldn’t worry if he or she had no concerns hun, if there was no heartbeat you would of been told. Good luck!
I’m also 14 weeks pregnant and when they attempted getting the baby’s heart rate they also had issues. However you could here something moving. My doctor said that was the only reason they couldn’t get it initially was because the little guy or girl was just moving around. Do you know what the heart rate was? If you do, it will be much higher then yours and you can rest assure that was your baby’s little heart rate they captured. Don’t forget if you have any questions just ask your doctor.
I’m not completely sure if they can detect your heartbeat instead of the baby’s but it has taken my OB a few minutes before to find the heartbeat and everything was fine! Actually 2 times throughout my pregnancy so far he couldn’t find the heartbeat and he called for an ultrasound, everything was fine though! Good luck!
