fetal heartrate…?
Hi, I asked this question earlier and I dunno thought I would ask again…I’m 23 weeks pregnant and have a fetal doppler…Well, the heartrate has been great, but lately it’s been kinda strange…like the heartrate will be perfectly normal then it will suddenly drop…then speed up again…I’ll give an example W being the beats===WWWWWWW…W…W..W..WWWWWW….etc. this doesn’t happen constantly, but it has been happening lately….Has anyone else experienced this…and if so please give me some advice I really don’t want to worry alot but it’s kinda scary. As far as movement and everything else though its fine. The baby moves right after I eat for about 30 minutes and sometimes longer…

I never had a doppler, but at 32 weeks, I started doing NST’s twice a week. The doctor told me that the fluctuation in the babies heart rate was a sign of a healthy placenta and that it’s doing it’s job so sounds like things are just fine for you.
this is because the change in the heartbeat is when he/she is moving. is happened all the time when i went to my prenatal visits. when he/she kicks, moves, hiccups, anything the doppler stops for a minute then the heart rate picks back up
That is nothing to worry about, those home dopplers are not as good as the ones doctors use, so when the baby moves, it might sound like the heartrate dropped. I asked my OB the same question in my first pregnancy
I have babycom doppler.
