I never tried the dopplers they sell at department stores, like Walmart and Target. I don’t think you can hear it on those until like 20 weeks. We ordered one from dynamicdoppler.com and it cost $22 a month. We heard our daughters heartbeat with it at 11 weeks before we even heard it at the doctors office. We LOVED It! We were able to listen anytime we wanted. Plus once I was farther along, I would get worried if I didn’t feel her much one day. So, I was able to listen to make sure she was still okay.

It stinks to pay 22 a month. But I think it was TOTALLY worth it to give me piece of mind!

umm there a waste of money don’t buy one they usually don’t work till your in your 3rd trimester sorry not trying to be negative!

Your best bet is to rent one. I got one at bellybeats.com for $25/month. I only kept it for a couple months. Once my son was kicking each day I didn’t really need it.

I’m going to say try babybeats.com. I am about to rent one from there today and I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. It costs about 20 dollars a month but there are variations in the prices and you can send it back whenever you like. They also send you that ultrasound gel too which really helps. You can hear the heartbeat with this monitor as early as 10 to 12 weeks.

You aren’t going to find one that’s good enough quality to pick up fetal tones at 10 weeks. Even the medical grade ones can barely pick up tones at 10 weeks, at 12 weeks they can. But cheap, retail store sold models rarely work well until the end of the pregnancy, and even then, if you don’t know how to look for the heartbeat, you will have problems finding it. I’d save your money and just let them do it at your appointments.

I looked on ebay to get one for myself.It was about 21 buy it now price.So total about 28 bucks.It says it can pick up the heartbeat in 1st trimester.It also can record yours or the babys heartbeat.I love it.I cant wait to buy it!

I don’t think you can get one that will pick up at 10 weeks. I got one from storkradio.com. It picked up at 12 weeks. Their prices are very cheap to rent.
