Fetal heartbeat and doppler?

I had a previous question earlier about a doppler. Where can I get one? Also, the heartbeat was already detected at 6 weeks, so would I still not be able to hear it at 8 weeks 3 days through doppler? I guess I just want some reassurance that it’s still beating after two weeks finding out.

You can rent a doppler from a website called babybeat.com. I’ve heard nothing but good things about that site. You can pay by the month and that way if you don’t like it, you can return it after a month and not be out a ton of money.
Most people have a hard time finding the heartbeat on their own, even as far as 10-11weeks. So if you get it and you can’t find the heartbeat at first, don’t panic.
Its easiest to find the heatbeat really low, like down by your pubic bone. The baby’s heartbeat will be very fast and yours will be lower and slower. You might pick up your heartbeat or even the placenta the first few times you try to use the doppler on your own.
Much dust to ya.
I don’t know where you can buy one. As far as hearing the heartbeat… we saw my baby’s heart beating on the ultrasound at 8 weeks, but when I went for my 10 week OB appointment, we could not hear it. By my next visit (14 weeks) we could hear it loud and clear
They tried detecting mine at 10 w 5 d with a doppler and were unsuccessful. They had to send me for a fetus viability ultrasound. Everything was fine. My point is, my baby had a strong heartbeat at that far along and it was unable to be detected through doppler, so I think you trying to hear yours at 8 w 3 d with one is going to be extremely difficult. Usually it isn’t until about 11-12 weeks that you can use a doppler and successfully hear a heartbeat. Anyway. when you do decide to buy one, check ebay. BabiesRUs also sells them.
Are you talking about a at home doppler, b/c most of those wont detect a heart beat tell your second trimester……don’t scare your self everything is fine
and the at home ones I think are a waste of money!
Good luck and congrats!
you can look on e-bay they have some
The heart beat can only be detected by ultrasound until about 10-12 weeks. I know you can buy dopplers on the internet, some places also have them available to rent.
Honestly though, you are just going to drive yourself nuts. I know you want reassurance, but even if there is a problem there isn’t anything that can be done this early in the pregnancy. Sometimes it can be difficult for even a trained person to find the heartbeat with a doppler until you are further along.
You can purchase them online, or even at the Motherhood store (if you’re in the US).
However, the baby’s still really low in your uterus, so while they can see the heartbeat via ultrasound already, they generally can’t hear the baby until s/he’s moved up past your pubic bone - generally at around 12 weeks or so. (I was acually 12w5d before they could hear the heartbeat). So don’t fret. In a few weeks, you & your doctor will be able to hear the heartbeat!
