I had an appointment last week & I don’t have another until the 19th..I’m so stressed! I worry that I miscarried and they won’t find a heartbeat at the next appointment..is that ridiculous?! Everything looked perfect last week during my ultrasound. I even ordered a fetal doppler last night because I’m so worried..I haven’t had any problems or anything, just super paranoid. Am I the only person like this?! I feel like a crazy person! I’m 10 weeks today btw!
wow Yellow..you just scared me even more. I’m sorry for your loss, but I was asking for help to ease my stress..not make it a million times worse.

This is my first baby. I feel my uterus get really tight, like a "my pants are too tight" kinda feeling, and then it goes away. I drink lots of water - but my midwife said I need about 130oz a day - that is a LOT!!! I drink as much as I possibly can, and usually end up between 60 and 80oz a day. Anyway, the tightness isn’t frequent, or regular, or painful at all. It just gets tight, and my uterus is hard to the touch when I poke at it. I have a fetal doppler and the baby’s heartbeat is just fine - I just checked on him today, and I feel him move sometimes too.
So, what could I be experiencing? Is it bad?

I am 23 weeks pregnant and would like to either buy or rent a fetal doppler so I can listen to my baby at home to get some peace of mind. I have read different review online but I don’t really trust the reviews that are left on the sites because they could easily be made up. I just want some advice from someone that has rented or bought one and can point in the right direction. Thanks!

I have an ultrasound due this friday and I am about 10 weeks pregnant. I was wondering will it be vaginal or non vaginal? If it helps any, I had a dr. appointment yesterday and was able to hear the heartbeat through a fetal doppler. I was thinking that if the heartbeat is audible through the doppler that was just on top of my stomach, then the ultrasound should just be on the top of my stomach, right? Thanks!
Well the nurse thinks I am probally about 12 weeks or so because the heartbeat was so clear, so I’m thinking it will be through my belly BUT it does sound like it depends on the equipement.

So, im 18 weeks pregnant and have been feeling fetal movements for about 1 1/2 weeks, and about the last 5 of those days have been regular movements. Last night I ate McDonalds and my kicked after I ate (as per usual). Today however it hasn’t moved, I even ate an icy pole to try and get some movements but nothing. My mum called the hospital and they said to come in just to check (because I had 3 miscarriages before) and we heard the heartbeat (142bpm) on the fetal doppler and she said everything was normal. That was about 3 hours ago and I STILL havent felt anything.
Does anyone know why my baby has just stopped moving??

I saw on ebay india that some people are selling fetal dopplers that can be used to hear the sound of an unborn child. Though the product description says it is FDA approved, I am not sure.
Has anyone used it and knows it is safe?

Okay for one the QUESTION! has nothing to do with I cant find the HB cuz this has been the best money I have spent.. Thats ur own opinion! I hear the Heartbeat everyday and very easy! In fact it puts my mind to ease and im not stressing which is bad for the baby! I just want to know how long I can use it for!

I just got in an argument with my mother over whether fetal dopplers are safe. She said that she only ever had one with me. This is my first pregnancy and so far I have had to have several due to cramping and fluid problems. I’m only 26 weeks and have also had to have several non stress tests which use doppler ultrasound to hear the heart beat. I also have a fetal doppler I use at home every now and then. I was just wondering. Are fetal dopplers and ultrasounds safe? I’ve heard from my doctor that they are but they mom seems to think my baby will come out 100% deaf or mentally challenged and unhealthy.

im 20 weeks pregnant and wondering whether i should spend my money on a doppler to hear my babys heartbeat. My bf is so excited about the baby i want him to experience as much of the pregnancy as possible. Some people have said they are not very good and can make you more anxious if you dont hear anything . If its worth spending the money can someone advise what the best one is to get?? Thanks.
Thank you x

I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and I use a fetal doppler every other day. I use it because it reassures me that everything is ok with the pregnancy and it gives me peace of mind. I read somewhere recently that a doppler can make loud sounds in the womb. Could the doppler cause my baby to go deaf? It is making me worry sick and I do not want to use it again until I know it won’t harm my baby!

I’m supposidly a little over 18 weeks pregnant according to my last period (June 10th) but i had irregular periods before i got pregnant. I haven’t had an ultrasound done but will get one at the end of the month and i only got to hear the heartbeat once on the doppler…
Anywhooo, my question is - Why would i be feeling the baby move up under my ribs? Like small kicks or pokes (maybe an arm or some type of appendage lol) about an inch or so under my ribs? This is my fifth pregnancy, third baby (if all goes well) so i definitely know what fetal movement feels like its surely not gas. What would explain this??? Has this happened to anyone else and what did it end up being? I’m getting more and more nervous that there’s two in there or that im much further along than i thought… altho at my 16 week visit the midwife told my my uterus felt like i was about 14-16 weeks along….
i am overweight tho so maybe it could have thrown her off a bit? And my alphafetaprotein tests came back abnormal…. the ultrasound at the end of the month should confirm the dates and check for any abnormalities and the nurse said its more than likely that the dates are just off due to my irregular periods before.
So what do you all think?
oops. i just realized im on my husbands profile… plz ignore the name and the dude picture this is not a troll question lmao

I had my monthly doctor’s appt. this morning. I told my doctor that I have been using a fetal doppler to hear my little one’s hb. He advised me to stop using it. I asked him if it could cause problems with my baby and he simply said "We don’t know." I’m really nervous that that could mean something terrible. I use my fetal doppler every other day for about 1-2 mins each time. I use a Sonoline I bought from Amazon. It works great but I’m worried about damage that I could have caused my baby, like hearing loss or brain damage

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and have had multiple ultrasounds in this pregnancy (around 10) and am about to go in for my 20-week one soon. I am so concerned about the safety of ultrasounds!I asked my nurse practitioner about this and the safety of at home fetal dopplers (since I use one to monitor my bub) and she assured me that there are no risks to baby. Of course I go online and read about how damaging they can be to a baby’s developing brain, especially if so many are done in the first trimester. My issue was that I had to have the ultrasounds done at that time (the first trimester)! I had several trans-vaginal and a few abdominal. Could having all these ultrasounds damaged my baby’s developing brain or hurt his hearing in any way? I know that when I use my doppler, he wakes up instantly and begins to kick really hard.

I was just curious if anyone has used a home fetal doppler baby heart monitor during their pregnancy
I am 11 weeks and I just ordered mine today ~ I am renting one to use.
How was your experience if you used one ?
How often did you listen to your babies heart beat ?
How many weeks were you when you first started using one ?
Thanks so much for your help !!! :o)

This is my first pregnancy and I have been feeling little flutters in my lower abdomen, right where the baby is supposed to be. When I went to my ob a little over a week ago the baby was moving away from the fetal doppler she was using to find the heartbeat (which we ended up not really hearing much of). Is it normal to feel it this early?
