Ok, i am now 11 weeks today and cannot stop worrying. I feel like i’m always writing that i’m worried. I had one miscarriage and i’m now pregnant and scared all the time. I have literally no symptoms; my boobs are tiny bit sore, but barely, not really tired, not sick, only occasional not feeling well. I just want a baby more than anything and i go to the doc next week at 12w. My last scan was at 9w3d and the baby was fine, heartbeat was 179 and everything looked good, she said my cervix was long and closed and things were ok..but i’m scard. I use a fetal doppler and the numbers change all the time. I can’t hear well, but sometimes i think i hear it and the number is 60, then jumps to 130, then 180, it was even 200 before so i think that’s not normal and it’s not working properly because it’s jumping all over the place. I thought that would calm my nerves but i can’t seem to hear. What other gels can you use with these other than ultrasound gel? Maybe that’s my problem. HELP.

I know this is prolly a silly question but like i said im 14 weeks and just bought a fetal doppler, my bump is kinda behind my belly button rather than underneath. I just want to know where the best place would be to hear it as best as i can? Would it still be in the lower abdomen i.e between my belly button and pubic bone or higher up? Im a worrier and I know that ill probably put the doppler in the wrong place and hear nothing which will make me panic

I am almost 17 weeks pregnant and I am interested in purchasing a fetal doppler so that I can have a peace of mind-do anyone know if there are dangers to using the doppler daily? If so, how often should I use it?

also.. i know this is my baby moving because when i put my fetal doppler where it moves i hear the heartbeat.

Hi, I’m now 23 weeks pregnant and I have a fetal doppler….Well, I’ve had it for about a month now and the heart has sounded great until recently…for some reason the baby will have a good heartrate and then it will drop suddenly for maybe 3 beats then speed back up to normal pace…even with it dropping for a few seconds it’s still within the normal range…around 145-160 most of the time..sometimes a little higher…and he moves constantly. Has anyone else experienced this with their dopplers or babies??? I’m trying not to worry too much and I have an appt. on the 21 to see if its a boy or girl..(i know i said he alot..but I always call it a he I don’t really know)So of course i’m gonna talk to my doc. about it but has anyone had anything similar happen to them?
thanks for all the answers so far…but let me give an example W= is going to be the beats….WWWWWWWW…..W….W…W.WWWWWW i know that’s weird…but? I have no other way of an example

So i have felt the flutters and i am very happy, but i was wondering when did everyone else start to feel other things like Kicks and things like that. I have a 5 year old son so it has been a minute and the only thing i can remember is i was about 17 weeks before i felt anything with him.
Also how far along was everyone when they found out what they were having. I have an appointment on the 21 and ill be 16 weeks and 4 days and i can not wait.. I really hope its a baby girl the heart rate has been high (home fetal Doppler) but i know that is just a myth…
Just being curious…

i have a home fetal heart doppler and have been able to hear baby’s heartbeating on both sides of my belly. If I start in the middle, I hear nothing, but go to either side and I hear a heartbeat on both sides. Is the baby just that big now? thanks.

Last night was excrutiating. Never had that before. I was pretty much in tears.
I know she’s ok bc, afterwards, she started kicking & this morning, I checked her on my fetal doppler that I bought at 14wks. HR was 149bpm.
THANKS!
Also, has anyone ever had muscle spasms in their lower abdomen in mid to late pregnancy? I had that last night, a few hrs before the stomach pains. I thought it was her & something was wrong, but it wasn’t.
THANKS!

This just scared the crap out of me. She gets hiccups, but I’ve heard they are normal. & w/ the "muscles spasms", it’s starting to make me wonder. My grandmother & niece both suffered from seizures.

My next prenatal appointment is on October 20th. I’ll be 9 weeks 6 days then (a day short of 10 weeks). They told me that they will be checking for the baby’s heartbeat then, using a fetal Doppler. Is that too early to pick up a heartbeat? Most books and articles say it’s usually detectable by 10 weeks, but is a day early too early? Just curious, because I don’t want to get bummed or worried if they can’t pick it up. (My first ultrasound won’t be until a week after.) Thanks, all!
To whoever is rating down all the answers… come on!

I bought a fetal doppler. It arrived today. At first, I couldn’t find the heartbeat. I was devasted. After about 15mins, there it was! 154bpm! & sleeping. About 20 mins later, I poked at my stomach to wake him/her up. The baby woke up & was doing gymnastics! I’d find the HB, 2secs later, it’d be gone & I’d move the probe around to a different place & he/she’d be there! Every few seconds, I heard a thump. Was that the baby kicking? (I’m only 14wks, can’t feel them yet)
THANKS!
BUBBLES: If I want to check to make sure my baby is ok, that has the SLIGHTEST thing to do w/ you.
SIMPLE: get a life.

My husband & I bought a fetal doppler which we have been using for a couple of weeks now. We are expecting our third child. I am currently 17 wks almost 18 wks along. We were using it this morning and heard our babies heartbeat (the same we always hear even at doctors office) for some reason I wanted to move it around my stomach to hear the baby move but found a different heart beat. My husband and I looked at each other in shock. Our babies heartbeat is very slow compare to this heartbeat which sounds like a horse running. They were in two different parts of my stomach and two different heartbeats. We have an ultrasound scheduled for thursday I will be 18 wks by than. We are so confused.
What do you think this is? Is it what we are thinking? I am a twin by the way.

So I have my first ultrasound for my pregnancy in literally 6.5 hours. I’m really terrified because the last time I was pregnant and went for my first ultrasound, I found out that my unborn child was still and my body didn’t naturally abort it, so D&C was booked the next day. I guess what i’m saying is that i’m really afraid it’s going to happen again, I haven’t been able to sleep all week, it’s 3:20 am here and i’m still awake.. I almost feel sick to my stomach.. I haven’t had any problems, like bleeding or cramping to indicate anything is wrong, but I didn’t get that last time either. And everyone I know is telling me to just relax, that the baby will be fine.. But relaxing is easier said than done… The last time I was pregnant I lost it at 9 weeks and I am about 10 weeks now.. Sorry if I seem all crazy-like, but i’m seriously scared and worried.. I don’t know what I would do if I lost this baby too and the thought of it just brings me to tears.. I even went to the doctor to see if they would listen for the heartbeat with a stethoscope, just to ease my mind, and they wouldn’t.. I searched EVERYWHERE for what some people call a fetal doppler and nobody has ever heard of it, I even had a pharmacist yell at me saying that they would never make such a thing because any kind of ultrasound equipment costs a bunch… I’m lost. Scared. Angry. Nervous. Sad.. has anyone been through this before as well? That maybe could ease my thoughts?
Oh I know that dopplers exist. I googled them, but I don’t think they sell them in Alberta…. Other wise I would have had one by now.. lol. My mother even told me to buy a little toy stethoscope to see if it works..sounds silly.. but worth a shot I think.
Hey everyone who’s answered, just wanted to say a big thanks, just knowing that there are others who worry just as much does make it a little easier.. I just wish I could be excited about this pregnancy as quickly as I was with my last one.

I am 17 weeks today. I started feeling my baby move when I was about 14 weeks. Between weeks 15-16 I felt the baby move all the time. Yesterday I barley felt it at all. And so far today still nothing….
Should I be worried?
I have a fetal doppler at home and I heard the beat last night. The weird thing is it used to sound like a horse galloping, but now all I hear is like a WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP. The beat is about 160 per minute.
Should I call my doctor or is this normal???
Thanks:)

My mind feels so messed up right now. My husband and I tried for a few months to get pregnant and found out even before my missed period that I was pregnant. We were so excited. This whole pregnancy I have been so excited to have a baby and I still am super excited. I just thought that it would start feeling real at some point. We have her room done, I had my baby shower, my hospital bag and her baby bag are all packed, everything is washed/cleaned/folded….everything is set up and ready to go. I even had to go to the hospital last weekend for them to stop my contractions. Yet, I still do not feel like there is going to be a baby here. It’s worrying me like something is going to go wrong. I don’t think I could handle losing her, because I love her so much already and just can’t wait for her to get here. I just seriously cannot picture a baby here in my life all the time. It’s such a weird feeling. I am using my fetal doppler like a few times a day because I am so worried since I think I should feel like a mom and at least have some sort of idea of her being here. This is our first baby, I just feel like I am going crazy. Is this normal?

I was in a minor car accident last night. My sister hit a car in front of us at about 5 mph. It left a dent on the other womans car to get the idea of how hard the hit was. Now my question is, at 11 weeks pregnant, could that accident have harmed my baby? I used my fetal doppler this morning and heard the heartbeat and I’m not having cramps or bleeding. I called my doctor and she told me not to go in. She said at 11 weeks, it’s too early to do anything anyway, but that the baby is very protected in the stomach at this stage. Does this sound right? Isn’t there a chance for placental abruption?
Thank you guys…Just the few answers I got have put my mind at ease. I was fine this morning after hearing the heartbeat, but then I read stuff on the internet and it get me all worried.

Im really nervous because I know it’s getting cramped in there but he isn’t moving as much at all. Just in the morning..a couple of times in the afternoon and a little at night..which is good, but he usually moves ALOT more. Sometimes I won’t feel a kick for like 2 hours. Im worried, should I go to L&D? I have an appointment tomorrow to see my midwife…Should I wait?
ALSO : I have a fetal doppler…his heartbeat is on point! Does this mean he’s ok??
