The bigger the baby gets the slower the heart rate. (but not by much) Your baby has been growing so the heart rate has been slowing slighty. Maybe your baby was moving when they did the ultrasound and it was 180. When I was 8 month pregnant with my first and the doctor checked the heart rate it was 180 because he was doing aerobics in there! Normal heart rate for babies by the 5th week is 155-195. If there was a problem your doctor would tell you right away!.
Congratulations!

That same thing used to freak me out too! It really isn't anything to worry about. I was told that anything from 140 to 170 is normal and depending on if the baby is resting or active it can be anything in between. I was also told that if the baby moves away from the sensor that it can make it look like the heart rate is going down when it really isn't.

I don't know if that's true or just something they told me to get me to shut up, but my kids were all born perfectly healthy.

All those heart rates are normal, my baby has always been in the 140's, Their heart rates will be different things at different times, sleeping, awake, active it just all depends on what they are doing in there, Your doctor will not hide anything from you if something is going on they will let you know.. Congrats and good luck

Its all normal. Both my pregnancies were anywhere from 135 - 180 depending on what baby was doing, or what I had eaten.
