I was able to hear my babies heartbeat last week at 11 weeks. I had to go back this week because I have a Picc Line in my arm currently for IV fluids and medication due to severe morning sickness.

Today my husband went with me and really wanted to hear the babies heartbeat but my OB couldn't find it to hear it. He said he never sends anyone home worried and took us over and did an ultrasound and not only did we see our babies heartbeat, but we saw it waving it's little arms and kicking it's little feet!

Just because it can't be heard with the doppler doesn't mean the heart isn't beating. The baby can be positioned in a way that you can't hear it and the placenta can sometimes make it hard to hear.

If they don't hear it soon though request an ultrasound. My OB said that anytime they don't hear it they will do a quick ultrasound just to reassure patients, because they don't believe in making anyone leave their office worried if at all possible.

Good luck to you and Congrats!

The tilted uterus could be playing a role. Did the doc perform an ultrasound to check up on things? If not, I'd insist on one.

Yea a tilted uterus would make a difference, I have a doppler at home and somedays i can find it other days it takes me forever and the slightest movement an i cant find it at all. If the doc didnt seem concerned its probably not a concern. GL
