Fetal doppler risks……..?
I hired a professional fetal doppler when i was about 9 1/2 weeks and couldnt hear a thing. A week later at 10 1/2 weeks i tried again for about 5 mins and couldnt pick up the heartbeat again so tried the next morning and still nothing. So i tried again at 10w 6 days and still nothing and then again yesterday at exactly 11 weeks and still nothing and then for some reason about 30 mins later i tried again and found it! a few hours later my partner came round and i wanted him to hear so listened for about 10 secs. And today i used it again for about 5 mins. I have my 12 week scan next week thursday and i just need reassurance until then. Im a bit worried ive used the doppler too much but sometimes i get carried away and wont stop until i find the heartbeat and then i stop straight away. Can it harm my baby if i use it too often?

No you aren’t going to harm your baby with the doppler. Listen away.
they didn’t use a doppler at my Dr. office till maybe 13 weeks, said it was too early to hear the heartbeat before……
since then they use it every time and there’s no harm……in the beginning it took them also some time to find it……
not at all! its just like using a stethascope with a speaker attached! listen away! it took a long time to hear my baby- turns out she was so low, i could only hear her right below my left pelvic bone til I was past 28 weeks!
