Fetal doppler from wal-mart or target?

Has anyone used a fetal doppler from wal-mart or target? i was thinking about buying one today but i want to make sure it’s worth the money. I know they don’t work as good as the ones in the doctors office. I am a little over 10 weeks and I would love to hear the baby’s heart beat at home.
Have any of you used one and does it work this early?
Thanks

I would suggest not wasting the money. You can’t hear much until they are a lot bigger and closer to your due date and even then, you don’t hear much. They just make you worry because you can’t hear a heart beat. I’m thinking OB’s wish they’d never been marketed to the public. I’m sure they get tons of panicked calls from soon to be mommies that can’t hear a heart beat.
Jessica , yea , they are worth it . They don’t cost very much . Can you put a price tag on the smile you will get ?
No, don’t waste your money. I bought one, and ended up returning it.
i got the one at target for 19.99. it doesnt work well until about 20-25 weeks which was a little disappointing since i bought it when i was 8 weeks. i listened to my tummy gurgle a lot until around 20 weeks. lol.
it doesnt work!!I got one and everytime you move ever so slightly it makes a noise so you dont know if you did it or your belly, even when i was 8 months I still couldnt tell. dont buy it!!!!!!!!!
My sis in law had one and it was cool. When I had my son the were to pricey for me to buy one!!!
The cheap ones you find at chain stores are great when you are past 20 weeks. At 10 weeks all that doppler will do is drive you insane. You won’t be able to find the heartbeat half the time and will end up calling your doctor in a frenzied panic a lot. Even doctor’s don’t suggest those, they drive parents mad.
If you want one that will work now, rent an expensive one. It is more sensitive and will work better.
You won’t even need one. Your baby will start kicking and moving all around…and that will be SO exciting! Congrats!
I would not get one i have one and you mostly can only hear static and it will just more then likely get you upset that you can’t find the heart beat and have you worrying.
dont buy it i never heard anything just u breathing and me moving thats all i heard dont waste ure money just wait til u go to the dr, office
I thought this was the way to go too. My husband isn’t able to attend every doctor’s appointment so I thought that this would be a good idea to let him hear the baby at home. I purchased mine at wal-mart (bebe sounds–i think) for 19.99. I got it home (I was approx 22-25weeks) and didn’t hear much over the gurgles of my own belly. The only other thing I could hear were a few kicks here and there. Even when I hit 30 weeks I couldn’t hear much. I know it’s cheap but it’s not worth it. Mine said that you couldn’t hear anything until 25 weeks or so. If you do purchase it, don’t be worried or upset if you’re not able to hear you little one’s heartbeat. Mine has been in the drawer for the past couple of weeks because it just didn’t work….
Congrats on your pregnancy!!!!
