I bought a home fetal doppler off Ebay and LOVE IT!!!! I was able to detect the babies heartbeat at 10 weeks. It was very reassuring and soothing for me and my husband. You have to be careful that you don’t get one that is only meant for later on in the pregnancy though. As some don’t detect the heartbeat until after 20weeks. The doppler I bought was a babyone Fetal Doppler LCD auto-count Heart beat Monitor. It is great. It even tells me the babies heartbeat which I know is accurate as I took it with me to the doctors to test it and learn how to use it!! You will not regret buying one!!
I rented one online for $25.00/month. I loved mine! I got tired of waiting every 4 weeks to hear my baby’s heartbeat. So, I rented one and listened to it every day. It was heaven! I used http://www.storkradio.com. You can also go to http://www.bellybeats.com
I tried buying those ones from Babies R Us and Target, but they really sucked. I couldn’t hear anything. But once I got the rented one (it’s the one the docs actually use), it was perfect!
i am looking for the same and have been search ebay
Fetal dopplers you can buy will not work if you are very early in you pregnancy. Unfortunately the ones the doctors use are the only ones worth anything in the beginning.
the ones you can rent would be better than a store bought one…
But i still wouldnt think it would work so early/
I bought an AngelSounds from EBAY for about 33.00 including shipping. I love it. I’ve listened to the hearbeat, my husband has listenend and I’ve even let my Mother and Grandmother listen to the heart beat over the phone. Plus we’ve recorded the baby’s heartbeat. It is the best investment I’ve made for this pregnancy. I listen to the baby every night and besides the heartbeat you can also hear the baby moving, even if you can’t feel it yet. It has saved me from a lot stress. It comes with a headset but has ports for two of them, includes another adapter that hooks into your computer and runs on a 9 volt battery. No special gel needed, I use baby oil on mine.
