i have the same doppler and i hear crakkles too. i noticed it was when the circle bit wasnt on my belly properly and the edge of the doppler was scratching on my clothes. so this might be the same thing for you.

im sure all is fine with you and baby x

when i visit my midwife and she uses hers on me we hear a crackling noise a lot, she said it is just interference, might be from ur mobile pohone, a cordless house phone, the tv, computer.... the causes are endless.. try and use it in a room away from nythng electrical and if u have a tv in every room like we do lol turn it off at the wall socket and wait a minute or so before you use the doppler.. hope this helps x

When the baby moves, the one the midwife uses crackles.
So maybe it is the baby moving, or maybe it is the baby re-settling itself after you have moved?
