Good value for money

A neat compact fetal doppler with clear LED heart rate display. Once fully charged the doppler works for ages without needing recharging.
This doppler seems to work just as well as the Huntleigh dopplers I used as a midwife.
One minor problem (which may be an anomoly with my specific device) is that the on/off button sometimes takes several attempts to get it 'on'.
As the guidelines point out, the LED reading is only accurate when the heart rate is clearly detected and has had some time to register (about 20 seconds). Before that time it can give out some nonsense numbers, so don't panic too soon, and if in doubt count the heart rate with a stopwatch. Also check your own pulse so you can be certain you're if hearing your own or the baby's heart rate.
This doppler has saved me many moments of anxiety, and I'm glad I bought it!
