No you shouldn’t worry too much right now. Most dopplers do not pick up the heartbeat until after 10 weeks and it is usually closer to 12.
no. they didn’t find this babies until I was about 13 weeks. I was starting to worry and then one day… there is was… it was a good moment
Nope, don’t be worried. The baby is so small at that point they don’t always hear it ..
the best way is to get a sonogram .. then it shows up on the screen. The baby is so transparent you can actually watch the beating heart.
I would say no. They are so small at that time and there could have been much going on. My first would ‘run away’ from the probe
Cheers
No it’s still early and the baby could be in a position that it’s hearbeat is overwhelmed by your much louder one.
If you had to be worried then you bet the doctor would have been immediately on emergency mode. Lots of visits you can’t hear the heartbeat till the baby’s older.
No i wouldn’t worry at all. We tried to hear mine at 11 wks and didn’t. We finally heard it at week 15. Be patient, it will happen….
no not at all. Those dopplers generally dont work until about 10-12 weeks. maybe longer.
your doctor would not have let you leave if s/he thought there was something wrong. Dont worry. Good luck and congrats.
No, don’t worry. The best time to start listening with a doppler is around 12 weeks. Just relax, and next time you should be able to hear it. Good Luck and Congrats!
No, you shouldn’t be worried, even though I know it is hard not to. My OB won’t even use the doppler until 12 weeks, just so women don’t get scared like this. It is more common to NOT hear the h/b at 9 weeks than it is to hear it. There are a lot of reasons why 1) The baby is toward the back of your uterus instead of the front 2) if you are carrying any extra weight in your belly then it will be harder to her the h/b……and so on. If your Dr. was concerned, I’m sure he would have ordered an ultrasound. Good luck with your pregnancy, I’m sure everything will be fine!
I wouldn’t worry if I were you. I had spotting at 10 weeks and they tried to find the heartbeat with doppler but couldn’t. So- they sent me for ultrasound. The baby had a strong heartbeat and was moving around well. I know it’s hit or miss to find a heartbeat on doppler prior to 12 weeks. Don’t panic yet…if you’re worried ask the doctor to send you for ultrasound so they can see the baby’s heart beating.
Nope .. most times the earliest heart beat is 12 weeks .. most often it depends on moms belly fat. Not to insult you, but the bigger you are the later it is. With the majority though unless you are having a vaginal ultrasound you wont see or hear anything for at least a few more weeks.
Don’t be worried at all.
I was hospitalised at 18 weeks due to anxiety attacks and it took them 20minutes to find a heartbeat
And it wasn’t anything to worry abt
Because baby is so small, baby can hide - when baby is bigger the heartbeat should be easier to find
I’m not sure that your doctor should search for a heartbeat with a doppler anytime before 16weeks as its difficult to find and it will just worry you.
nah, mine was heard at 12, but seen on the ultrasound at 6….don’t worry
nope dont be worried i just got to hear mine im 22 weeks at 20 weeeks u could bearly hear it. u can usually see the heart beat on an ultrasound. just wait it out u will be fine try and remember to relax when u get stressed or worried the baby is also and it is not good 4 either of u.good luck
don’t worry it may have been the position of the baby and it is too soon, if the doctor had any concerns he would have sent you for an immediate Ultrasound. maybe next month and it is so cool to hear that heartbeat for the first time.
do not be worried, they barely found mine at 12 weeks. I am surprised they even listened for it, most docs will not until at least 10 weeks. Wait a couple of weeks and you will get to hear it.
Mine also couldnt be found at 10 weeks, but becuase of my history of stillbirth and miscarriage they did an ultrasound cause i was so upset. They found her and she was just fine. She is a healthy baby girl now!!! If your really scared you can request an vaginal ultra sound to be done.
Do not worry. The baby is very small at this time, and the doctor cannot always find a heartbeat, or it’s not strong enough yet. I’m 16 weeks, and it took my doctor about 5-10 minutes just to find the heartbeat because the baby is so active at this point. You should have an ultrasound done soon, and you can see the baby. If their equipment allows them to, you may hear the heart beat then. If you had anything to worry about, you doctor would have scheduled an emergency ultrasound to make sure the baby was there.
No, your baby is still very small, so it’s not uncommon to not be able to hear your baby’s heartbeat at this stage.
I only heard my baby’s heartbeat at 12 weeks with both pregnancies.
I am surprised the doctor did not order an ultrasound to get a visual of the heartbeat. I would like to say "don’t worry" and maybe you shouldn’t. To calm your fears, call the doctor and as if they could do an ultrasound. Once you see that little heart beating, all is right with the world. God Bless and good luck.
No…don’t be worried. heart beats aren’t heard till at least 12 weeks…I didn’t hear mine till 16 weeks as I carry a little abdominal weight
too early hunny but when u had your ultrasound didn’t u get to see the heart beating? oh man i was balling it was just the most amazing thing i ever saw hang in there a few more weeks and you should be able to hear it. If your doctor doesn’t check for some strange reason you can get fetal heart monitors at a baby store sometimes they rent them. GOOD LUCK!
No you shouldn’t be worried, close to week 13 you’ll be able to hear the heartbeat. At nine weeks the heart if I remember right is still developing
don’t stress but you need to be prepared. hopefully the little one was in a spot and they couldn’t pick up the heartbeat. but my mom was pregnant a few years ago and around 8 weeks they couldn’t find a heartbeat, they of course tried again in a week or so but she carried the baby until 12 weeks 1 day with no heartbeat before she miscarried. i wish you all the luck in the world.
reading all the other answers, i heard my baby’s heart at 8 weeks.
with my first child, the dr never found the heart beat on the doppler. we always could hear the radio station, though.
