After 12 weeks of pregnancy your chances for miscarriage decrease dramatically. I know it is hard not to worry, and that’s only normal. It means you care and love this child! Some women do not even look at it as a child yet; I do, and I know you do too! That is excellent!
If you are hearing the heartbeat, then you are fine. Doctor’s say once they can hear the heartbeat of the fetus the chance of miscarriage does drop.
2nd trimester miscarriages are often caused by problems with the uterus or by a weakened cervix that dilates prematurely. However, just as in the first trimester chromosomal abnormalities appear to cause up to 20 percent of second-trimester miscarriages.
The cause is usually because of certian immune problems.
I think as long as you are healthy you should not be worrying!
Keep smiling!
You will deliver a healthy and happy baby!
miscarriage after 12 weeks is less common than before but you can miscarry at any time still.
of course a miscarriage or late miscarriage can happen at any time even after seeing and hearing the baby or even feeling the baby mive.
After 16 weeks, the chances of a miscarriage drop significantly. It’s nice that you own a doppler and are able to listen to your baby’s heartbeat, but perhaps you should try and relax more. Being stressed out about miscarriage isn’t good for your body, and as long as you are following your doctor’s orders and taking excellent care during this time, you and your baby should be fine. Congrats on being a mommy-to-be!
Once you get passed 12 weeks your chance of miscarriage is greatly reduced.
Stop stressing….Enjoy your pregnancy!
Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!!
do you mean because you keep using the Doppler. well those things pick up sound waves so i dont know if you are harming your baby because you use it 3 times a day. you should ask the doc. aren’t there a recommended usage on the instructions manual. or any warnings on the labeling?
Breath easy sweetie. The chance of m/c drops after 12 weeks, and hearing a strong heartbeat lessens the chance even more. I know it’s hard but relax, you’re in the 2nd trimester now. It was always the easiest for me
Its uncommon after 12weeks but, also if you are listening to your babys heart everyday and you hear one dont stress he/she is fine, and I would say dont stress about this as stress can bring on a miscarriage, just relax yourself and enjoy being pregnant : )
You need to stop stressing and just chill out and relax. The chance of m/c drops considerably once you reach the end of your 1st trimester.
