I think 10 weeks is about the time you can first start to hear the heartbeat but I know that it's still very tricky to try and find it. I've had a few times where my doctor had a difficult time finding the baby because the baby is still very small. If you are doing this at home and you are super worried don't be afraid to call your doctor and have them listen. They may even have you go to an ultrasound so they get a full picture.

Good luck and I'll be praying for you!!

Unless its a medical grade doppler and you know exactly how to use it, no, you won't be able to hear anything.

I could hear the heart beat at 12 weeks. But you must have the doppler way down, below ur hips. The noise u can hear is the fluids, the babys movements ect, u will only hear a VERY faint beat at 11 weeks, i battled to find it too, but try very low down, remember how tiny ur baby is now.

I had my first appointment with my OB/GYN at 11 weeks and they did not use the Doppler for the heartbeat she said that you probably would not be able to hear it. They did a quick ultrasound in the office to make sure everything looked fine (and we could see the fluttering of the heart) at my 16 week appointment you could hear the heartbeat loud and clear with the Doppler, even when the baby is moving.
