Buying a fetal doppler at 14 weeks, where is the best place to find the heartbeat?
I know this is prolly a silly question but like i said im 14 weeks and just bought a fetal doppler, my bump is kinda behind my belly button rather than underneath. I just want to know where the best place would be to hear it as best as i can? Would it still be in the lower abdomen i.e between my belly button and pubic bone or higher up? Im a worrier and I know that ill probably put the doppler in the wrong place and hear nothing which will make me panic

you might find it cheaper to rent a doppler, i have rented a doppler for £10 a month, i got it from http://www.hi-baby.co.uk
and also at 14weeks it will still be really low
just move it around really slowly twisting it at different angles really slowly with lots of ultrasound gel on, it can often take a good half an hour to find, but you will definitely hear it at 14weeks
At 14 weeks even a doctor or midwife has trouble finding the heart beat. It would be between the pubic bone and belly button indeed but most likely just hovering above the pubic bone. I doubt you will hear anything.
Below your belly button, and it may be hard to find the heartbeat still since youre early on, plus as the baby moves around it can make it hard to find.
Im 28 weeks pregnant and when I go and they check the heartbeat they always check below the belly button first and usually find it down there
It is really a hit and miss try below your belly button first and go from there… The baby will most likely do some movements and you will have to move the doppler anyways… Don’t panic… Remember they are trained to find the heartbeat!
