		<description>Apparently the Bebe Sounds heartbeat doppler is quite good. Perhaps you could look at some reviews for them? I think they are quite cheap. 

I do however recommend that you rent a 'proper' fetal heartbeat doppler. If you are in America, you can hire them (can find websites to do so), for about $30 a month.

Ultrasound has never been proven safe.  Why would you want to expose your unborn child to more of the radiation than your doctor already does?!  You know...x-rays were once &#34;perfectly safe&#34;; they weren't even considered a medical device--shoe stores used to have them so that you could see how a shoe fit (I guess it was too much trouble for an actual human being to *feel* it to see if it was a good fit!!).  Ultrasound is the newest toy; it's just like with drugs--you have to use it a lot quickly while it's still safe...</description>
