Your baby is so small that it is hard to pick up a heart beat with good equipment. Where the doppler you are using isn't strong enough to pick up yours it has to be bad. Throw the thing away so you are not constantly stressing over not being able to find that little beating heart. That constant stress is something you don't need.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

well i got a doppler that was givin to me from my midwife and i picked my babys heart beat up at 9 weeks it took me a while to find it tho... but it was a success... i find that gel seems to pick up the sound waves alot easier than doin it with no gel.... it also all depends on how much "insulation" so to speak that the mother has also.. im small framed so i could find it early... good luck, and keep tryin

If you can't pick up your own heartbeat when using it then it's apparently broken.
I can hear someone's heartbeat with just my EAR by putting my head on their chest.
It's broken, don't worry. Relax :)

if it didnt even pick up your heartbeat it is probably broken, even when looking for the babys heartbeat you should have at least picked up your own... it is still a bit early as well... i was pregnant with twins, and at 12 weeks the dr had a hard time even finding a heartbeat so sometimes it can just be hard to find it if the baby is positioned in an odd way or is moving around.

It could be the doppler but then again 10 weeks is still early. With all 3 of my pregnancies I wasn't able to find the heartbeat with a doppler till around 12 weeks. Sometimes you might be able to hear it at 10 but it will probably take some time. I would wait a couple days and try again and when you do make sure you are right on the public line the baby is still really far down.

I got the AngelSounds Doppler from Amazon.com. It was only $45 and it worked after week 10 of pregnancy. All you need is baby oil with it. Sounds like yours is broken.
