Heart beats are hard to find until about 20 weeks, and then it still takes some doing.
I rented a doppler for both pregnancies and I was able to find the heartbeat at 14 weeks, but it took me about 15 minutes. Now am 21 weeks and can find it in about 1 minute.
You really don’t need that. If you can feel your baby moving every day, he’s fine. Personally, I would have just drove myself crazy with it.
I have 3 children. I tried it on my last 2. Sorry - they don’t work. What you end up hearing is YOUR heart beat! Count on feeling it move around and kicking - if it doesn’t move and you are worried move him/her around to wake them up!
Congratulations and good luck.
If your prenant than your doctor will check the babys heart beat everytime you go. Me personally wouldnt spend that $25 a month for one. i have one from walmart that was i think $20.00 and it doesnt work untill you get really far along. i have it stashed in the closet somewhere. Spend that $25.00 on other things such as diapers wipes and other things ud like to have.
It probably depends on the model but the one a friend has was only 115 to buy! so if you plan to have it for a few months you should probably just look into buying one and save some money!
I rented one it arived when i was 11 weeks the first time i used the doppler it took me about 35 minutes to find the HB.
Im 13 weeks now i can find the HB in about a minute.
If you know how to find the heartbeat or are willing to take a little time in a quiet room to find it, it is definitely worth it. And if you rent one like your doctor has, the actual dopplers not that thing you can get from Wal-mart for 20 dollars it does work… but word to the wise if you would like to rent one it is cheaper to pay ahead of time for the amount of months you are gonna use it instead of paying each month.
Yes they are accurate, i was 15 weeks pregnant when i got mine and i heard his heart beat. It was awesome. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find the heartbeat, it just depends on where they are sitting and which way they are sitting. But ever since i have had mine i have only had that problem once, i just left it and tried again a couple of hours later and i found it straight away.
If it is possible i would suggest buying one because once you get it you proberly wont want to give it back and if you end up paying for it for the full 9 months you are better off just buying one. Mine was $108.00 all up off E-Bay and i dont have to give it back lol!
