Anyone use the fetal doppler at home?

I’m thinking about renting or buying one. Anyone else used this and what were your experiences?
Also if you have a brand that you recommend that would be terrific!

Hi Jag –
I have an anterior placenta and so it was a long time before I could feel my baby moving regularly, which led to a lot of stress and runs to the doctor or ER. After one of these trips, per my OB’s recommendation, I rented one from Heartones.com. It’s the exact same one he uses in his office, with the readout, but you can rent one without the readout. They also throw in a bottle of the lotion, and if you decide to buy one they’ll deduct the rental fee from your total. Also if you return it early they’ll prorate your refund, and if you go over they’ll just charge you month by month. I rented mine for an extra month after my due date so I’m not scrambling to return it. Clearly I’m very happy with it! I think a medical-grade one is the way to go.
i have one of the bebe ones you buy at like kmart or walmart and i cant pick anything up on it.Im 34 weeks ive been using it my whole pregnancy and yet to pick something up.
I am sorry no one has answered your question. Its a good one. I want to know the same thing.
I have one that I bought on E-bay a few months agol. I am currently 6 1/2 months and I have been able to hear the heartbeat since the first time I tried it. I bought the Angelsounds (on E-bay for about 45 bucks) and it is the most wonderful thing I have ever bought! Believe me, it is so worth it to get one! Even if you just rent it!
I also have the bebe one that you buy from walmart, only difference is that I’ve been able to hear my little man since i was around 20 weeks or so…it may just be the way your little one lays that makes the difference. only one bad thing about it is you have to put everything on mute or else it will pick up everything in the background and be hard to hear the baby. Good luck and Congrats!!!
