Not a doppler or fetal stethoscope? Just a reglular stethoscope? If so, how far along in your pregnancy were you, which side did you use, and how were you able to find the babys heart beart? I’m just wondering, because I think it’d be cool if I could find the baby’s heart beat so I could show friends and family from home!
Anything helps, thanks guys!

you will not be able to hear anything with a regular scope because the baby’s heart beats so fast that the scope will not be able to pick up each beat. sounds almost like a hummingbirds wings flapping.
Using a conventional stethoscope, you may never hear the fetal heartbeat.
Why don’t you get one of those listening devices from babies r us? They cost $20 and they’re supposed to start working really well by about 6 months or so!
